MikroTik FTC21 – Weatherproof Fibre-to-Copper Converter with SwOS Lite

The MikroTik FTC21 is a compact, weatherproof fibre-to-copper converter built for reliable Ethernet and fibre connectivity in outdoor and industrial environments. Housed in an IP55-rated enclosure, it is designed for deployment in harsh conditions where standard media converters are unsuitable, while maintaining a small, discreet footprint.

Running a full version of SwOS Lite, the FTC21 offers smart management capabilities beyond basic media conversion. Administrators can monitor interfaces, manage VLANs, report via SNMP, apply basic traffic shaping, and implement advanced packet filtering using access control lists. This enables detailed traffic control based on Layer 2, Layer 3, and Layer 4 conditions, making it well suited to managed edge deployments.

Powering is flexible, with support for PoE-in and a DC power jack operating across a wide 24–57 V range. The device is highly energy efficient, even under load, and is supplied with a 48 V power adapter, PoE injector, and mounting accessories for straightforward installation across a variety of scenarios.
